When flying to certain countries

Do I need a test?

Please refer to the UK’s government guidance for British people travelling overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic here: Please note in particular the specific testing method required by your destination country.

Check when to take the test

Speak to your airline or the Embassy of your travel destination to get advice on when to take your Covid-19 test prior to your travel.

Many countries only accept results from COVID-19 PCR Swab tests results upon the arrival in the country. Please note that PCR saliva tests are not accepted in some countries and you will not be able to enter the country. As the testing requirements change frequently, please check with your airline or Embassy of the country you are traveling to for the latest testing advice. Patients are required to do their own reserch to ensure that the test they purchase is accepted by the country they travel to.

Testing Information

In general, the tests need to be processed between three and five days before the flight departure but please confirm the details required by your specific destination. You can read the most up-to-date guidance on the Foreign Office website here.
