Follow up appointments

Follow up appointments for travel vaccinations

A follow up appointment at our private vaccination clinics is a scheduled visit that takes place after your first vaccine dose.
These appointments are important to make sure you receive all required doses for full protection before travel and to meet entry or visa health requirements for certain destinations.

What Is a Follow up appointment?

A follow up vaccination appointment is any visit that meets one or more of the following criteria:

Second or subsequent dose required

  • You’re returning for a second or third dose of a vaccine.
  • Common multi-dose vaccines include:
    • Hepatitis A
    • Hepatitis B
    • Rabies
    • Japanese Encephalitis
  • Doses are given at specific intervals to build full immunity before departure.

Completion of a vaccine series

  • Your appointment completes a vaccine series started at your first visit.
  • Completing all doses ensures maximum and lasting protection while travelling.

Booster or interval dose

  • Some vaccines need boosters or interval doses to maintain immunity over time.
  • Examples include Hepatitis A and Typhoid boosters recommended for frequent travellers.

Clinic scheduled return visit

  • The follow up was booked during your initial appointment to stay on track with your vaccination plan.
  • Our team provides reminders to ensure each dose is received on time.

What is not a follow up appointment

  • Your first dose of any vaccine.
  • A visit for a different or unrelated vaccine.
  • A walk-in appointment for new vaccinations not previously scheduled.
